Custom Seed Treatments
Comparing soybean treatments between seed companies can be difficult because it is hard to prove small yield differences that are claimed by the manufactures. We have contracted extensive testing of various fungicides, insecticides, inoculants, SDS solutions and nutritional products since 2017 and have found a basic fungicide seed treatment (FST) to provide the best return on investment.
Fungicide seed treatments are cheap and effective protection against seedling diseases Fursarium, Rhizoctonia, Pythium, and Phytophthora. It is common to use a blend of active ingredients to provide maxium protections against these 4 diseases and some seed born diseases. We have been useing a blend of Thiabendazole, Anchor Azoxystrobin, and T-Methyl that is blended and marketed as AZO by Unified Ag solutions.
There is no additional cost for this treatment on Apex or ProHarvest soybeans in 2023 as AZO is built into our seed pricing, and you do not have to purchase additional seed treatments for our best replant protection.
